LucidDrive is our night drive simulation for automotive headlamps.

 

LucidDrive allows the analysis of automotive headlamps in a road scene. Simply select a test track, load and position your headlamp's beam pattern and start the drive simulation. You can switch between different headlamp setups while driving, thus enabling direct comparison between different setups. LucidDrive also supports dynamic beam patterns  like the bending light used in the new AFS (adaptive front lighting system) regulation.

Bird's Eye View

LucidDrive supports several viewing positions: Driver's View, 20m View (from behind), Bird's Eye View or generally any user defined view. All these positions can be selected dynamically during the drive simulation.

LucidDrive comes with a large selection of road types (e.g. "two lane road with or without median, four lane road, motorway") and road scenes, including several well-known Formula One tracks. New road scenes can easily be created with the tool "RoadEdit". The track is created by simply entering a sequence of points with the road editor, subsequently the software will create a continuous curved road. LucidDrive also enables automatic bitmap export of video frames for further movie generation.
